Responsibility
Beauty deserves
better questions.
Understanding a gemstone means looking beyond colour. Identity, treatment, documentation and care all deserve a place in the conversation.
Origin, with context.
Emeralds are associated with Colombia, Zambia, Brazil and Afghanistan. Rubies are found in places including Mozambique and Myanmar; sapphires are associated with Sri Lanka, Madagascar and Australia, among others.
These are educational examples of gemstone-producing regions, not claims about JAVAAZ inventory. Geographic origin for a specific stone should be supported by appropriate documentation.
Ask about treatment.
Some gemstones are treated to improve appearance. Ask what is known, what is uncertain, and whether an independent report is available. Treatment can affect care requirements and should be discussed clearly.
Respect the people behind the material.
Gemstones pass through many hands. A useful sourcing conversation asks about the suppliers, processes and records connected to an individual stone. Broad words should never take the place of specific evidence.
Care for what lasts.
Store gemstones separately to reduce scratching. Before using steam, ultrasonic equipment or chemicals, ask a qualified jeweller about the stone’s identity and treatments.
